Another March snow day!

Last night we had another 5" of snow! Our piles of snow are still over 6 feet - it will take a LONG time and lots of warm weather to melt everything!

I had the privilege of speaking at the Ladies High Tea Party at East Bay Calvary Church in Traverse City today. What fun Sandy (who went with me) and I had! The tables were beautifully decorated, and the food was delicious. We had small cream cheese, dill and cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, raspberry scones, mini cupcakes, macaroons, strawberries filled with chocolate, and of course a pot of black tea. There were around 200 ladies there, and many wore hats, gloves and pearls. Some of the hats were a stitch!

One lady made these "Victorian women" as part of the decorations! These were life-size.

February 21st snow.....

Winter just keeps coming in full force around here! Not only have the temps been below normal, but the amount of snow with this storm has now broken the record!! Today we're to get 8" of snow, tonight 4" more, and tomorrow 3-4 more inches. That's a lot of shoveling, snowblowing and plowing :) We're all hoping that if March comes in like a lion, it will definitely go out like a lamb.
