"School days, school days, good, old Golden Rule days...
Wednesday was "back to school" day here in Manton.
Our little neighbor girl was out at 7am with her backpack and lunch box, and waiting for the bus. How excited the kids are to be back...and the teachers too! Our AWANA starts up this Wednesday, and we're READY!
For many of us, we've graduated from school...but all of us are still enrolled in God's school of life. The recess and fellowship with others is fun --but sometimes His classes are pretty tough! It's only with God's grace, we CAN pass His courses with flying colors!
Here are some "Back To School" Tips to help us pass His courses....
1. Get Enough Sleep - ."Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him..." Psalm 37:7
2. Get a Healthy Breakfast "My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up."Psalm 5:3
3. Follow The Rules."Bessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." Luke 11:28
4. Develop Good Work and Study Habits. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
5. Try Your Best. "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:for ye serve the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23,24
6.Get Along With Your Classmates. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7
7. Get To Know Your Teacher. "And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind...if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee." 1 Chronicles 28:9
Happy School Year!
